So today in my newest blog I will be talking about one of my favorite entertainers here at stickam, CUBANCHINO!!! aka. Derek.

Chino has a really good show called Music and Madness, and I would know because im in there every time he is live. His normal show's are Monday- Friday starting at 9 pm EDT and lasting until whenever he passes out. But Derek most of the time is live, right after the shaggylive show. CubanChino's show's consist of: music, dancing, requests, fun, and sometimes he will be random and throw in a prank call. Chino is going to school and majoring in Mass communication and broadcasting journalism. So he really enjoys entertaining and having life experience for his future career. Getting Shagged With J~Rey and a late night in shaggy's Room!

I have to say Shaggy's little late night chit chats on his Stickam account are getting very addicting. I have been there the past few nights and the subject matter is right up my ally.

Last night I called in on skype and we had a talk about John Hocks Girlfriend Amor Hilton. Normally I can give a poop less about stickam scene kids but I was going to check the ratings on stickam 2 days ago and I clicked Media By accident and came across one of her videos. She was upset that stickydrama called her out on her smoking while she was pregnant. As I watched the video I got more and more sick to my stomach. She said something that bothered me more then ANYTHING has bothered me on stickam. Basically she justifies Smoking because her mom smoked while she was pregnant and she is "Not Retarded" Although after watching this video I beg to differ. Not only is smoking a risk during pregnancy it is SELFISH to smoke while pregnant. She made a choice to become a mom and with that she has responsibilities now which include not putting Amor's needs first and putting her childs needs first. This video is proof she is not ready to be a mom. She has no idea what is coming. In about 6 months reality is going to slap her so hard in the face that she is not going to know what hit her. Oh and and her fans are defending her by saying it is no ones business what she does with her life. She made it everyones business be putting up Myspace bulletins saying she was pregnant and homeless. If you don't want people to know your business or give there opinion of how screwed up you are then stay off the internet and stop posting your life story on all these social networks!

By the way I left this response on her video and it was taken down not even 10 minutes later. It sucks when someone tells you the truth and you don't want to here it. WAKE UP GIRL!

I am so excited to see what shaggy is going to do with his new project, shaggy live network. I know that every day when shaggy is done with his show, half of the regulars in shaggy's room are looking for some other room to go to, that will still be of high quality and be really entertaining. with shaggy's network we wont have to go looking for good entertainment, in different rooms, we will already know where we can go to find the best entertainment on stickam.

Yesterday was the beginning of the whole thing, and the Ron Show started the whole thing out, followed by the Lee Mills Show. It was extremely fun and entertaining and I didn't have to go search for a good room. The show closed for a couple of hours after Lee, but later on that night shaggy came on and played some music, and we all had some fun, despite the technical difficulties. I woke up this morning at 5 am, to find shaggy still on with BK and Maui babe in the room, I only went in for a few minutes, but they seemed like they were having fun, shaggy and Bk were definitely in there own world, and was fun to see how they communicate at 12 am and they are just having fun.

There are still a lot of kinks to be worked out with the new project, shaggy is still looking for new entertainers to be apart of his little endeavor. So if you want to be apart of the fun,and be one of the entertainers on the show, email Bk. At bk@shaggylive.com and she will give you instructions on what it is that needs to happen for you to be approved. Shaggy really wants this to be a 24 hour 7 day a week thing so its going to take some time and patience for this to happen, so keep looking for new shows, and new ideas and if you haven't added and subscribed to the new show or to shaggy's show, you should probably go to that.

This is my first blog on the shag report. And my first topic is about the new and improved shagglive website that lee mills did. Its great i just love it. And with the fan picture i love how u select the picture how they side in. he is very creative that is for sure. Also how he added the shaggy store in to the site. now u don't have to open a second window.

I love it lee it looks good and shaggy is also very proud of it that's for sure.. Today i was in shaggy's live and lee took over the show. It was great and he did a great job. I love how shaggy lets other DJ's come in and take his place for abit while he has a meeting or something. its great how we have all these fans on stickam and cammit. I love it.

I don't think i have missed one shaggy show ever.. and all the people that are in the room that are regulars are like a big stickam family.. and they are in that room everyday. and even when shaggy isn't live we all stick together... but that wraps it up for my first shag report blog.

My favorite shows on stickam!!!

Ok, so for my first blog, im going to keep it short and simple. I have been to a couple of shows on stickam. I can't say that I am that impressed, I have gone in to several rooms and usually they are a bore. I have found three rooms besides shaggy that I do actually consider fun, and entertaining.

One of the fist shows that I started watching was Flula Borg. I first saw flula when the whole casting call thing started going on. So just out of curiousity I went into Flula's live one night, and i was pleasantly surprised to see Flula actually being a good entertainer. In his room you will find that most of the things he does is impromtu, he will come up with raps, songs, and poems about random things that the audience picks. Flula has an amazing ability to keep audiences captivated with his silly stories.

Another show that i just recently started going into is the Ron show, now most of the time ron is on late at night, and i only pop in for a little bit before heading to bed. but what i have seen he is amazing, i wont go into alot of detail because several blogs have been written about him already but I just wanna say that his show is amazing. If u havent donated to him yet you defently should and you should check his show out.

Another show that I just recently started going to is CubanChino's room. I really enjoy his room, he has a wide varity of music, and is really entertaining to watch, because he is usually dancin and singing along with the music. His room isnt usually full either so he has plenty of time to talk in the chat and make sure that your being entertained, and will let you pick the songs that you want, and if he doesnt have it he will download it and make sure to play it. I defently recommend you go check out CubanChino when you get a chance, he usually goes live right after shaggy, its a good way to end the night.

Anyways im going to conclude this blog saying that entertainment is still alive! As long as we have people like the guys i have talked about and Shaggy who will strive to make things happen and people happy! I hope this blog didn't bore you to bad. Have good day everyone!

OK so i finally decide to write on this thing. A lot of things have seem to bother my mind lately. & something bothered me on my email about youtube. Its not from them so i doubt it they are serious. but i know its a spam. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has received it so you all probably know what I'm talking about. id post a picture but i cant and Ive tried so here it says

another story which has been bothering a lot of people right now are the gas prices. when gas price go up, everything else go up and the rocks smack dab in the middle of the ocean not so happy.. its completely outrageous how its 4$ a gallon.. next thing you know everyone going be on bikes or be using the bus for transportation or even foot mobile! aye. its really a problem. I've heard that Big Island's gas is a bit cheaper than ours. so ridiculous..

I've also noticed that every grocery store is going GREEN BAG and I'm on a mission to collect them all! lol its not lame i swear its going to be so useful. maybe if everyone started to NOT USE plastic bags, everything else would go down..right? i remember someone telling me that. well Wal-mart has it, Foodland, Safeway, Costco even has it! humangous bags i tell you!.. who else, um.. ohh even macy's.. everyone should not use plastic bags. GO GREEN! ^^,

Okay so I made a decision that I was going to write a blog here once a week on Monday and this will be my first. I do not have anything significant to say unfortunately at 2 AM in the morning but I promise to bring more to the table as time goes on :-) If any of you missed Sat Night in shaggy's room you missed a lot... I was Eating crab legs...BK was looking amazing as ever and to be honest with you...It was my B day and I was drunk and I really do not remember what happened.... I know I did no drunk dialing so I am proud of myself!!!!!!

Stickam has had a lot of problems keeping people on the white list the past few days so I hope that shaggy is not effected by this....I personally think stickam is being hacked because every room I go into has intermittent Audio and video problems for almost a week. I know they are working on fixing the problems but are we all venerable to hacker s right now? Is stickam a safe place to be? We all know how much love Stickam but demand to be safe on there site!

To Stickam or not to Stickam? The big controversy

So if you have been in Shaggys Stickam Chat room the past week you have probably noticed things have been a little tense. He and I had a disagreement which is fine :-) I STILL LOVE YOU SHAGGY!

Shaggy has said over and over again he does not feel appreciated at Stickam, and has complained numerous times about the technical and ethical Practices at Stickam. Now before I go on there are SEVERAL people on Stickam that feel this way!!! Not Just Shaggy!

I voiced my opinion in the room yesterday because I have had nothing but a positive experience with Stickam. Yes, I have had technical issues in my room....Yes, I have been frustrated at times with who is on the front page, and yes, I have even said in my own chat that stickam sucks today! Because sometimes they do. But I have a hard time getting mad at the staff for it because EVERY TIME I write them or contact them for any issue they have responded quickly and kept me up to date on the progress of fixing the problem. I know this is not what happens with everyone and I can see how people get frustrated. I have learn with the stickam staff a little kindness goes a long way.

There are always going to be Technical issues this is a social network, with video, with thousands of people online at one time. There is no way to get around that. I think I learn from working on the Rides at Disneyland a few years back that there are somethings that just can't be avoided when there is a technical issue. The guest would be pissed when the Ride broke down and they would yell at me for it and I had no control over the situation. It would be very stressful trying to make a 200 guest that waited 2 hours for a ride that just broke down happy. Well, I think of stickam as the ride operator and I the guest. I am so excited to go online and when it does not work I am VERY Frustrated but me yelling about it is not going to fix the problem any faster. And I am sure when there is tech issues they get about 100 Instant messages.

Just to clear things up Shaggy and i are NOT mad at each other I got a few e mails about why I was pissed. First It takes A LOT to piss me off and that would have not done it. I am just a very strong, independent thinking, Stubborn, woman that will not back down because everyone else thinks one way. And it does not help that shaggy is one of the most strong will people I know...
So to Wrap this up, I still stand my ground with my position on stickam being a great site and one of the BEST live streaming sites to aggregate Viewers. They are not the best technically I have seen better sites but you will never pull the numbers you do at stickam at any other site. And I know for a fact Shaggy will stick to his opinion about Stickam because that is how he truly feels. You should always voice your opinion and stand your ground. Shaggy is doing that and so am I. We don't hate each other. We are just stubborn asses! LOL ;-)

For those of you that didn't know, Shaggy recently put his beloved macbook up on the auction block on the ever popular EBAY.COM. It was a 3 day auction and many fans were battling it out in wars to outbid each other. If you know Shaggy at all, then you should know that his laptop was mos def pimped out! Esp with many of the reggae artists autographs, as well as his on there.... it was definately a most wanted keepsake. But, alas.... there could only be one winner...

Usually, I try to help give mentions and show guys the ins and the outs of it. But after checking out this kid's page, I wanted to really lay it all out. He's young, and since no one else wants to help him it seems, I guess I felt responsible for giving him a thorough answer as follows:

It's 4am, I just got home from work... so this may sound a little scattered.

The first thing you got to ask yourself is what are you trying to get "out there" as? Anybody who seeks attention just for the sake of attention is doomed before they ever start to promote their name or ever start a career. What do you want to do once people start noticing you? Nobody sticks around to watch someone just to watch them, and hardly anyone remembers them after they leave. You got to be focused on what you want to do before worrying about people knowing who you are.

I once had a very famous lady in radio history tell me, "remember...you start the day as a nobody, and when that mic is off, you're nobody again." Her name was Chatty Hattie Leeper, and she's beyond a legend in entertainment. I trusted her advise a lot, almost as much as I did my parents...and for a southern boy, that's deep. Hattie told me to make sure I wasn't being like most DJs of the modern era...so stuck on themselves that they failed to entertain anyone else. They had nothing going for them outside of being "on the air." As people, they were horrible...and she scolded me anytime I got a big head. I have to be entertaining to impress her, bottom line period. I try to pass that advice to people wanting to get noticed in any entertainment field. HAVE A REASON FOR PEOPLE TO WANT TO BE AROUND YOU.

Also, be careful what you wish for... I was once a unnoticed, funny kid in the middle of nowhere, North Carolina. My life was simple and I grew up in a great rural community. Entering college, and radio eventually...changed my entire life. I was always shy before, but people rushing to see you for no other reason than your job is CRUSHING. After 13 years of this life, I can no longer enjoy the basic things most people take for granted. Everywhere I go I'm spotted. I can't eat out, shop for groceries, or spend time with my kid because of who I am. My life is so different from when I started that sometimes I have to remind myself I'm nobody important at the end of the day. It's just rough when you can't just go around like a normal guy...

And I love everyone of the people that walk up to me. How sick is that? My listeners, my fans...they are great people. I thank them every time they say they like my show. I try to make time to talk to everyone I meet, and remind them I'm nobody without them. That's another rule of being a true entertainer....your fans are the reason you can even do what you do. Never take that for granted. Thank everyone everyday they come to see you. Be grateful for them, even if you feel like you are getting crushed with attention sometimes and just want to be alone. Never ever forget to take care of those that take care of you.

You got to remember too, that you have a responsibility as an entertainer. You have to always be the better person. Keep your personal life out of the way of your act. People remember the loud offensive entertainers, but only the good guys become legends.

I guess the last thing is the most important. Since I was 18, and professionally in radio, I can honestly say I've had a fun life. I get to do and say things most people really wish they could. My life is a blast. HAVE FUN with WHATEVER YOU DO. Don't force yourself into the spotlight without the goal of just having fun. You make mistakes? LAUGH A YOURSELF! People insult you and call you names? HELP THEM AND LAUGH SOME MORE! Never lose your cool, and most importantly, never be too cool to be bothered. Entertainment is an expression of yourself. If you are happy doing it, people are happy watching you do it...whatever your "it" may be. DJs, musicians, actors, and comedians can all lay down one truth to why they really do it. They do it to have fun.
At the end of the day, it's still the most fun I've ever had regardless of working long hours.

After reading this, take some time and think it over about what kind of entertainer you want to be and that will answer your most important question...and the one you asked me. How do you promote yourself starts on what you are actually promoting.

It's no secret that we at The Shag Report waited in anticipation for Stickam's SXSW and to hopefully report that despite all the rumors and gossip it was a successful first venture.

It is with a heavy heart though, that we can't. From bad audio to bad language and long drawn out moments of cameras looking at empty places, the first venture of Stickam into the world of legitimate entertainment was nothing short of an immense failure. You would think with so much riding on the success of Stickam's first Casting Call for both public relations and image that the producers of the whole fiasco would have taken care over such minor technical issues like over-modulating audio or in some cases, out of focus cameras to at least showcase the technology that makes all this possible.

We wish we could say that there was moments of greatness, but even that would be almost an outright lie. Stickam should be hanging its collective head in shame but as always suspected will probably not even care.

Yes, for people in Hawaii it's terribly early to wake up, but I managed to drag myself out of bed for what was a great experience. For younger audiences, think of it as hanging out with your coolest Uncle and his funny hats... For the rest of us, imagine being able to wake up and have your neighbor bring you coffee. Wow, that almost sounds like a show doesn't it? Perhaps it should be...

When The Shag Report was started, I wanted to avoid writing any heady pieces until people found the site and got a general feel for what it is about. My goal was to establish a place where entertainers could be looked at and acknowledged as entertaining or not. As with the birth of the TV age, someone must try to cut through the haze and explain how the medium works. Thankfully, a lot of someones have lovingly given time to watching shows of interest and writing short articles.

What IS entertainment exactly? With the invention of radio, entertainment was defined by great voices, imaginative narratives, and compelling content. When TV came along, a lot of stars of radio's golden age moved into the new medium only to discover it was a completely different world! Hot lighting, tons of caked-on make-up, and long days defined the pioneers of that industry. Now...we come to the internet.

Interactive Entertainment will be the next level the world will go. Anyone that wishes to challenge that assumption need simply to look at the amount of sites that are now trying to exploit the technology to entice new subscribers. How though will it be defined? Will the people now setting up shows online exclusively one day be considered the pioneers of the genre?

The most important question I'm afraid is something that should send shivers down the spine of anyone who is an experienced net show viewer...

Who will be the people that define the standard that all other broadcasts that follow try to uphold themselves too?

I think the easiest comparison would be if you think of the golden age of TV talk shows. Reality talkers came in a million shapes and colors, and each were going for a specific market of people much like online broadcasting does now. Can you count how many talk shows came and went in the past decade? Will this too be the fate of online entertainment one day? Only time will tell...

However, now that you see what this site is about, how about we ask YOU your opinion? We want to know what you consider entertaining, and what you consider mindless drivel not suited for the worst public access cable channel you can imagine. Tell us, and let us know what YOU find interesting or entertaining!

The Lee Mills Show

Hey Everyone! I am honored and humbled that Shaggy decided to include me as one of his 'bloggers'.

I'll try to keep things brief but informative. Okay, maybe next time. LOL

After logging into Shaggy's show so late today, I found myself on Stickam but without a show. What's a girl to do? I ran through the front page list and saw the regulars. They're good but we're all familiar with them already.

Afterall, I was on a Shagreport mission. Heehee

As I reached about halfway... I saw my next stop. The Lee Mills Show. Based out of Great Britan, Lee spins tunes, interjects games, funkadelic cams and personal touches. Being newer to the front page his chat room wasn't too full..but that gave him plenty of time to add the personal touches. Greeting people as they enter the room and being able to easily play requests. He plays a variety of genre's and was seeming to concentrate on the 80's and 90's during my visit.

Some of the words people have used to describe Lee and his show are FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and WACKY.

You should check in with Lee Mills on Mondays and Thursdays. If not for the music then for the chair dancing. Heehee

He also has a website of his own called RONSHOW.NET. He still needs to school me on a lot of the bands hes interviewed because honestly I dont know a lot of them :) And there is A LOT! Living in England, the time difference causes me to post things later than they should be.
In yesterdays show, i realised the immaturity of some of the members of the chat.
I remember the days when the chat was all about Jen and her sex tips (LOL!) and when it was full of regular members, with the occasional newbie. Being a mod, i have to keep an eye on what is being said in the chat.
So in the show yesterday, the chat was full of new members. A lot of them had come in to spam the room, others came in to ask Shaggy rediculous questions.
One of the regular members said that she does not enjoy being in the chat as much as she used to.
What happened to the fabulous chat in Shaggy's room?

Have you ever had a crazy idea and then only AFTER you open your mouth do you realize how crazy an idea it was...only now it's too late NOT to do? Welcome to one of those ideas!

There comes a time though that every person out there has to do something they are passionate about. From a young age, I guess you could say my obsession has been entertainment. Now, all these years later, I can write about something I might have a clue about!

I know... there's other, more drama filled blogs about people on Stickam and other social networking/streaming sites out there, and for people that honestly like the whole Dr Phil/Oprah type of drama I'll be sorry to disappoint you right now. The Shag Report is me and my friends that are entertainment junkies and the stuff we find that entertains us, enrages us, or just makes us laugh while we troll the internet in search of all things entertaining.

I would like to think you too humble reader, would be interested in something a bit more reporting and a bit less fiction when you read blogs about online entertainers and performers, right? Oh no...you don't? Who told me this was a good idea again....?
